I love when Jeff sends me photos of his day.
Even if his day begins at o'dark-thirty on a Friday morning when he joins the breakfast cooking crew for the Band of Brothers ministry.
For many years Jeff has been attending a Friday morning men's breakfast, taught by one of our favorite local pastors, Kenny Grant [a former marine drill instructor]. Servant-hearted Jeff began helping out in the kitchen and chatting with the older gentlemen who cook the breakfast every Friday. Jeff is the youngest of the crew.
When he went to Augusta to work on a job out of town it meant he could not only not go to Friday morning men's breakfast but could not work in the kitchen, either. He missed this time with these men, terribly. I know, without a doubt, they missed his help, but also his presence.
Returning home after being gone for 8 months, one of the first action steps was for Jeff to return to his Friday morning men's breakfast, getting up at o'dark-thirty and cooking breakfast with the guys for Band of Brothers. Serving is Jeff's sweet spot and makes his heart full. His cup [of eggs] runneth over!
