Biopsy Results and MRIs

No cancer!!! Praise God. Not even pre-cancerous stuff either. So now the doc is working on getting me 'regulated' (the lovely monthly stuff we women have to bare - thank you dearest Eve! - she does get a bad break); and I've decided I hate MRI's. Having an IV in the inside wrist is the pits but I have horrible vains and the tech went right for the wrist. Hurt the entire test. Then I get a coughing spout through the test and that dry feeling at the back of throat amidst having to 'take a deep breath and hold it'. And then there is the technician who gave me no clue what was going on even during the times when I'd sit there for a couple of minutes - just silence. Not worried about results, firmly believe all will be well...

Have my pampered chef appointment with the director that I'll be 'working under' on Friday - sooo excited. Can't wait to start!!!

God is Good!!!

and Pampered Chef...yeah yeah the two just don't go together but hey, I'm enjoying the goodness of God today! Last night after church we went to Applebees and another gentleman from church who heads up our Men's Ministry was there; I had contacted him regarding a Men's Ministry/Military Ministry partnership whereby men here at home could partner up individually with a deployed soldier and be a spiritual mentor/accountability partner. He called Jeff this past week (it's a guy thing and hey Jeff was in the military) and this Saturday he got it off the ground. We'll set up a meeting to work details/advertising etc. but I am so excited because I have wanted this for so long and now it's here!! God is Good!!! Over and over God is blessing this military ministry and it's partnerships. WOW! I STAND in AWE! Oh, yeah! there is my watchword for the year. These guys are standing in the gap for our military guys. So siked!

So what about pampered chef you say...I've decided to be a Pampered Chef Consultant!!! Gonna just start with part time and see how it goes. I am really excited about this. Out of the blue I got an invite to a party this past weekend and hey I'm not working right now and I love Pampered Chef and I've considered consulting on other occasions and this time Jeff's response was no hesitations!!! So

Tidbits

Horrible lately at blogging. I seem to miss all the good stuff. Still working on my Charleston mini album (when I'm not too lazy); love these mini albums. Gonna be on the look out for a basket of some sorts for mini albums to display in the living room. More organizing going on. Almost done with my bedroom closet. If you're wondering how I could not be done yet it is because my house has been a warzone of unorganization and I can only take it so long. And since I'm without a paying job I thought this would be a great time to 'catch up' and feel good again. I mean just the bit of organizing in the living room - haven't changed my furniture, just organized the stereo shelf and I look at the living room differently now...

My three boys are off to SCC for clean up Bethlehem and to fulfill their community service project for Cub Scouts. Little Bethlehem sits behind our church and is used for our Christmas production called 'The Journey" which SCC will be doing this year. SCC took a year off and now it's back! Sorta looking forward to it but it's a busy time for us because of practices and all. Jeff is a Roman soldier every year (he is very very good at it). The Roman soldiers have interactions with the guests and they have lines throughout the 'journey' around different 'scenes'. The Roman soldiers are providing protection to the Jews (guests) as they make their way to Bethlehem to pay taxes.

Going to a Pampered Chef party this morning - wow - haven't been to one in sooo long.

Volleyball and Jalepenos - and friends

What a great night! We spent the evening at Armstrong Atlantic State University attending our 'daughter' Stacia's volleyball game. They lost (tear) but they were great games. Stacia's mom and dad were there, Amber, and Amber's mom and dad. (We know Amber too because she used to come to our small group - love her); Then we all went to Jalepenos after the game. Boys, of course, just latch on to Stacia and talked and talked to her and she, patiently and lovingly, give them her time. It was such a great evening. Amber's mom brought pictures from there boat trip to the Bahamas - I loved looking at the pictures (they were gorgeous) and she's a sweet lady. We finally got to meet Stacia's dad and he rocks just like Stacia said he does. We're heading to another of Stacia's tournament games today at noon - then off to church, then  bible study for me, serving traffic team for Jeff, and SWAT (Servants with ATtitude) for the boys.

Mary Brown

I'm in shock! I just heard today that Mary Brown died of a massive heart attack - she was younger than me. I've known Mary for several years now; we attended several bible studies together and had many laughs. She could make me laugh. This wonderful lady and her husband just adopted a little girl from China...ok Lord, I have to ask You - WHY?

Today

Working on a little Charleston album (will post when I'm done); got some military ministry issues to tend to; preparing for my new bible study class introduction - Lies Women Believe; taco salad on tap for dinner; couple loads of clothes; pick up John's uniform shorts from alterations (had to purchase men's size 34 pants and then have them hemmed to shorts); reading a bit of a book Origins in Death by J.D. Robb; just another day at the office/home...

Wednesday

Busy. This is our Wednesday's: 4:20 boys come home from school, change into Taekwondo, 4:30 go to Taekwondo, 6:00 eat in the car, 6:30 go to church, 8:30 come home and shower, bed...I'm out of breath just thinking about it. Any homework on Wednesday's will be done Thurs. morning. One of those pros of me losing my job: I can do all the running around.

Organizing and Reading

Been doing some organizing around the house...getting rid of stuff that we've had for more than 8-10 years and haven't used it since. Last year Jeff brought home a bunch of stuff from his mom and dad's that really needs to be gone through; pictures taken out of those acidic albums that end up yellowing and destroying pictures; bunch of Jeff's elementary school stuff (too cool); some of his dad's military records (now that is neat - saw the logs in his records for the Distinguish Flying Cross and numerous other medals many times over); went through a bunch of books and recycled them to the library. So I've hit most of the attic, piles downstairs here and there, CDs and cleaned up the stereo cabinet (removed old/dead pieces); amazing what a little organizing will do for your well being.

Reading: J.D. Robb (also known as Nora Roberts); now I've never read Nora Roberts and I don't plan to but she writes this In Death series that I have effectively polished off in the last month or so and have only 3 left. This series rocks!!! Eve Dallas and Roarke - that's the characters in the series. She's a NY City cop and he's, well, he owns half the universe (not just half the world because in this series which takes place in 2058-60 so far there is life on other planets - and Roarke owns them...) anyways by the 3rd book I believe they are married - two lost souls who find each other and a bunch of murders to throw in for good measure. Their pasts are rather colorful and their present is pretty eclectic too. No they obviously aren't Christian but I've learned alot from Eve.
