I love these pictures when I stand at the base of Savannah International Airport Tower, look up, and snap a picture on a clear day. It was probably my last day of work yesterday unless the government gets their act together with a budget - which I don't see happening - and even though an Executive Order stands that says, to the effect, that a weather observer needs to augment observations when the airfield is open, money overrules safety.
But, I am thankful for the job I've had for the past several years. It was a good job and good pay for the hours I was able to work. God provided just when we needed it and even though we won't have this extra income I know God will continue to provide and meet our needs. With this job gone I don't see working in the weather career field again for a long time.
And again, but - God has us where He needs us right now. So I bid farewell to weather. It will always be my first love - job-wise that is! And if by some miracle I still have a job, well, that will be God too!
