I'm rapidly, rapidly for me, pushing forward with my 30 new books in my 50th year project. Over the past couple weeks I've read three more books to bring my total new books read since 19 November to six.
1) Having a Mary Heart in a Martha World. This is a very good non-fiction Christian book with many applications. This is going on my shelf to re-visit and refer to for applying concepts to my life.
2) Lone Survivor. I'm floored. This books was AMAZING! Jeff and I will be watching the movie this Friday night on our date night.
3) Carry On, Mr. Bowditch. This is one of the boys' American Literature novels and we enjoyed this piece of historical fiction about the life of Nathaniel Bowditch, immensely.
I am currently reading C.S. Lewis' The Screwtape Letters and I have Life Interrupted by Priscilla Shirer in my bag here at work should I finish Screwtape. I'm anxiously waiting for February to roll around and J.D. Robb's latest In Death series novel.
I can definitely see the finishing line to this project, especially since I am keeping a running 'tally' via a digital scrapbooking page, adding books as I complete them.
This is part of my 50 in my 50th year project.
