Prayers for my husbands' legs...
Thank you Lord that my husband walks by faith and not by sight (2 Corinthians 5:7). May he use every piece of Your armor to resist the enemy whenever Satan attacks, so when it is over he will be standing up under it (Ephesians 6:13). Help him to lay aside every weight, and the sins which trip him up so he can run with patient endurance the race You have set before him (Hebrews 12:1). Help my husband to walk with and claim fellowship with Jesus, walking in the light of Jesus and not in the darkness, and to fellowship with other believers, walking in truth and not lies and being purified by the blood of Jesus (1 John 1:7-8) for one walking in truth gives You no greater joy (3 John 1:4).
Father God, You count a man blessed is he who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked or stand in the way of sinners or sit in the seat of mockers. I pray your Holy Spirit guide and direct my husband away from unwise counsel, that he not participate or sit with those looking to do evil, and that he be courageous, fleeing from temptations (Psalm 1:1). I pray my husband walk in the way of Godly wisdom and insight, setting aside foolishness, immaturity, and ignorance (Proverbs 9:6) and that he seeks and finds wise people to walk beside so that he will become wise, and not the foolish and get in trouble (Proverbs 13:20).
I pray my husband follows the Lord's example as a dearly loved child and walk in the way of love, just as Christ loved him and gave himself up for him as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God (Ephesians 5:1-2). And, that he walk in obedience to all that the Lord God has commanded, so that he may live and prosper and with prolonged days (Deuteronomy 5:33). I pray my husband stands at the crossroads and asks You, O Lord where the good way is, and then walks in it, and so, finds rest for his soul (Jeremiah 6:16). And what is it that you require of my husband, O Lord; but to fear the Lord God, to walk in obedience to Him, to love Him, to serve the Lord with all his heart and with all his soul (Deuteronomy 10:12) and to teach His commands to his children, talking about them when he sits at home and when he walks along the road, when he lies down and when he gets up (Deuteronomy 11:19).
May his walk be worthy of the calling which You have called him; walking with all lowliness and gentleness, with long-suffering, and bearing with all people in love (Ephesians 4:1-2). Because, Lord, the one whose walk is blameless, who does what is righteous, who speaks the truth from their heart...whoever does these things will never be shaken (Psalm 15:2-5). In Jesus' Name.
