I have participated in a month long scrapbooking project called December Daily® by Ali Edwards in one form or another for quite a few years now. You can see my other December projects here: 2015, 2016, 2017 and you can see that except for 2017 I didn't complete the project, per say. However, I told many stories.
For this years December Daily® that is what I was going for - telling stories. The main idea of the project is to tell one story every day of the month at least through Christmas day. But, here's the amazing thing about this project. There is no wrong or right way to approach this project. The idea is simply a jumping off point.
So this year, this is what I did:
(1) Tell 25 stories.
(2) They could be three stories from one day. They could be a memory of Christmas. Story number 5 could have happened on December 1. Simply put, tell the stories of December not document the days of December.
(3) Give myself grace.
Today, I'm sharing the first few stories of my December Daily® 2018.
First up is the cover page to my album. I will be using a 6 x 8 album that I purchased from Ali Edwards from her December Daily® (DD) collection of products. I took an online class with her this year, again, called December Daily Product Play 2 and she gave us ideas for using trees in our DD. I played around in Photoshop Elements using rustic digital papers, tree templates (which I made myself), some digital stitching and miscellaneous product from Ali Edwards and Paislee Press.
I love my cover page.
I followed the cover page up with an intentions page. My December intentions were centered around 24 days of giving (which was awesome, by the way!), being intentional about simple, slow, and telling more of the story.
Story #1:
Story #2
Story #3
Story #4
Story #5
Story #6
Story #7
and the last one for today, Story #8
Over the next few days I will upload my individual pages to Persnickety Prints where I do all my digital page printing. Once the album is complete I hope to do a video walk thru of my completed December Daily® 2018 album.
