One of my heroes of the faith is Joy Gill. She lives out the Fruit of the Spirit every day and I admire her immensely. For many years I sat under her expert biblical tutelage as we studied, inductively, the precepts of the Bible, book after book. I have learned so much from Joy and through her mentoring I have been changed - eternally grateful. Recently, her husband Carlton, a giant of a man, in size, heart, and faith, and an Elder of our church, passed away. They set up a Meal Train for Joy and her extended family. By the time I spotted the Meal Train ad set up for Joy on Facebook, almost all the spots were taken. One solitary spot was open. I immediately, no thinking, no praying necessary. I made Roasted Red Pepper Rotisserie Chicken Pesto Fettuccini with Olive Garden salad and dressing.
I had the pleasure of dropping off the meal and spending a little time catching up with Joy, who was alone at the time. Joy is - a joy to my heart. Her husband will be missed, tremendously.
