52 Weeks of Giving | 26

Every week in my prayers, somewhere, I'm asking the Lord to show me where He would have me give. It is an exercise in opening my heart to the leading of the Holy Spirit and stepping out in faith that the Lord will provide even when our giving is a sacrifice. It is a lesson in listening for the Lord. The other day a potential place to give popped up in front of me but I didn't hear what I've been hearing these past months. Then, for my nephew Chris' birthday, he hosted a Facebook fundraiser for No Kid Hungry and immediately I was prompted by the Spirit to give. We have our very own P.A.C.K. in our community for school-aged children so I a familiar with the need and necessity to feed children right here in our own country, and it is always heart-wrenching.
