I recently participated in a self-portrait photo journey project created by my scrapbooking hero and friend, Ali Edwards, called Pieces of Us at #aepiecesofus on Instagram. The idea: to document us - ourselves. To get ourselves in the story. While I haven't had to much trouble over the past couple of years - I mean I did create an All About Me album - but, I know in the past I am usually the one behind the camera catching my husband, my kids, and my grandkids.
Another reason for the project was to help us develop our own voice. With my All About Me album I think I've been doing that all along. For me, this project was a great way to catch up on me. It was fun!
I used a 6 x 12 template from my Ali Edwards' stash and using pastels as my go-to for each page (I didn't plan it that way originally but after the second page turned out using pastels I went with that theme for the remaining pages). I used the project to tell about ME.
