Stuff I'm Looking Forward to This Season:
ONE: My number one priority for September is to stay in the pool. My goal is to swim 2 miles by the end of September, but more importantly I need to continue to be purposeful about scheduling pool time, even though swimming 3-4 days a week is time consuming.
TWO: Since COVID quarantine we haven’t hosted our life group in our home and that is changing in September. Sunday evenings will be for our small group gatherings, again!
THREE: For months now I have had an unintentional ministry pop up. Every week I have been delivering a meal to a family: someone in quarantine, a lady battling breast cancer, a foster family, a family who have lost a loved one...I am going to be intentional about continuing this niche ministry.
FOUR: I need to move more! Besides the pool, I have not been purposeful about getting in steps. I am going to document my steps in September and my goal is 6000 steps a day. Doable, but I also have to actually move purposefully to reach the goal, and if I walk more than 6000 all the better.
FIVE: I am looking forward to book club at the end of the month. We have been meeting in person and the discussion is fantastic. This month we are reading the best seller, The Time Traveler’s Wife!
SIX: There was a time I was usually reading 10-12 books a month but recently, since COVID, I have been reading far less. I am looking forward to reading more books. There are two new books coming out in September that are definitely going on my must-read list, plus book club, a couple classics, and I think I might be able to up my reading game. Mores the pleasure!
SEVEN: I’m going for 10 pounds loss this month. Nothing to drastic. I just want to see what I can lose without a dramatic change to my eating habits. Start small. Maybe, simply, don’t eat anything after dinner.
EIGHT: I am looking forward to gathering once again for church. We have a volunteers service the middle of September along with a training session on how we are going to do church in our respective areas of service. Although I am looking forward to attending church, I am, however, apprehensive.
NINE: This season I am looking forward to changing weather, hoping for cooler temperatures earlier this year; hoping for no hurricane evacuations, hoping for fall like weather to be thrust upon us.
TEN: In September I am going to create a mini-album with 30 Days of Photos. Except for July, which was a heavy photo month, I am a horrible picture taker and this needs to change. I may even do a Day in the Life this month. I want to finish my Korea mini-album this month, too.
