So, for my second story of December in my December Daily® album, I went with the telling of all the 'new' decorations I have been getting this year. We even decorated outside this year - small though it was; I wanted to document the year of my trees. At least that is what Jeff thinks because I have two forests of trees in our living room now. I think I'm also beginning a wreath collection as I picked up three new wreaths this year, although one of which is for the outside front door.
Creatively this is a hybrid (traditional and digital) project. All the pieces on the front transparency are physical product. However I created the transparency using a digital star transparency. This years December Daily community is using a lot of bronze foil and while that makes me swoon, for me to get that look I would need a lazar printer and I just can't see purchasing one simply for scrapbooking. So, for the transparency I went without foiling - although I know it would have looked so much better.
The red stars, however, set off the gold accents nicely, so I am happy with the results.
On the left I hid the backside of the transparencies front side with another large circle chipboard piece which turned out nice. And, on the right is an all digital page using a tag template I had in my stash from last years December Daily Product Play 3 class I took in November 2019. Love the way it turned out.
What I did to the digital page though was back it with the same size piece of cardstock and made a pocket for a journaling tag that I added ribbon to. Love how it turned ou!
