For today's story I wanted to capture Jeff's day 'off' fishing. He had such a great time fishing, some great photos - and that is why I made the pages around the photos. Highlighting the photos made these two pages. I used Paislee Press' clean and minimalist digital designs for my pages. Honestly, she's one of my favorite designers for her minimalist approach.
Here is the journaling I used for the page:
The senior superintendent on Jeff’s jobsite gave the team a day out on a chartered fishing boat for ‘team building’. Although Jeff has fished many times he hadn’t ever used professional reels, but he understands the concept so quickly picked up the skills enough to reel in quite a few fish. They fished in the coastal waters and netted trout, redfish, and flounder. Jeff had soo much fun! His group was the last group to fish and the previous ‘who netted the longest fish’ went to the one of the ladies on the team. But Jeff was able to reel in a 27-inch fish and beat her out! ‘Beginner’s’ luck he says! I love that he got a day ‘off’ to break up his 6-day work week. It’s great that part of the chartering fee is they clean all the fish everyone catches so Jeff brought home a gallon size bag of fresh fish ready to cook. We did a simple pan fry with a garlic lemon butter sauce and it was mouth-watering delicious..
